Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Lens (Sony FE)

The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Lens (Sony FE) earns its place in the bag by making a bright wide zoom easy to carry. Its compact 420g build, quiet autofocus and useful f/2.8 aperture suit travel photography, landscapes and video. It pairs neatly with a 28-75mm zoom for a lightweight kit. The trade-off is its shorter range: you give up the extra width and reach of a 16-35mm.
